DAY 1
A day of archaeology and little streets. Book the Colosseum and Roman Forum; allow at least half a day for the archaeological area.
DAY 2
A walk through the historic centre, with breaks between its beautiful squares.
DAY 3
Museums in the morning, the basilica and a riverside walk in the afternoon. Plan your day around your Vatican Museums ticket.
DAY 4
Bridges, narrow streets and views. The Gianicolo is uphill: consider transport if you prefer less walking.
DAY 5
A day of food and open spaces. Visit the market while its stalls are open.
DAY 6
Book the Borghese Gallery and leave the afternoon free for the park and the city’s terraces.
DAY 7
Start in Pigneto, discover Villa Gordiani and enjoy the greenery of the Aqueduct Park. The Appian Way is an alternative to the aqueducts, not an extra required stop.
The order of the days is flexible: adjust it to tickets, opening hours, the weather and your available time. Always check venue websites for hours and reservations. Use each stop’s directions for travel.
